2014 was amazing and it’s not even over

November 24, 2014

Snapshots from the past few weeks

I feel like it’s time to get personal with another little life update to follow up on the one I did back in early july. So the past six months have been amazing. And crazy. And just so unbelievable. I feel like I’ve accomplished so much, both on a personal, but also a professional level. As you guys know, I was very happy working with Makeup Forever, but in september I was headhunted by Urban Decay who offered me an even better job as a makeup artist on the first ever Urban Decay team in Scandinavia. It’s been a huge honor to help bring this amazing brand to Denmark, and as you can see from some of the pictures above, I’m so happy with my new team, boss and colleagues in general. This new position has and will make it easier for me to establish myself and do the things I really want to do.

As I mentioned in the earlier life update, getting a new apartment was a huge turning point in my life as well, but now five months later, this small apartment in a dorm is beginning so seem slightly cramped – not to mention the fact that it takes me roughly an hour to get to work. But I’m moving on saturday. An amazing lifesaver with a great big heart offered me a big, two bedroom apartment with a cute little balcony and a spacious kitchen where I can paint my walls lovely pastel colors and actually exist. It’s also gonna be so much faster for me to get to work, and I’m lucky enough to have such great friends in my life who offered to help move my stuff, without me even asking.

When I go to bed at night and realize all the good that’s happening in my life, I can do nothing but fall asleep with a smile on my face. I guess making an actual effort to work hard on accomplishing the things you want really does work! Meeep, next up – home decor inspiration post! My fingers are tingling to get started! ♥

Coma Club 2014

November 5, 2014

A bunch of photos from this years Coma Club, or rather, our little getting ready/pre party at Rebecca’s place. As you guys can tell we all kinda got obsessed with glitter this year, and my fabulous american friend Jayce who’s studying in Copenhagen this semester came by Makeup Forever where we did his makeup before going to Rebecca’s place to all dress up and have fun. From what I remember, most of of the night was amazing 😛

I’m hosting a party at Wonk in Malmö on saturday with the fabulous guys from Duo RAW and Kyle Farmery, so if you don’t know what to do this weekend and you’re in Denmark or Sweden come say hi to Rebecca and I at the party! The official event is right here.

Everyday Life Favorites Saline Simon

Working girl / favorite makeup products

October 29, 2014
Lately I’ve been having a lot more days with makeup on, than days without and the products I use the most and work for me best has really stood out clear. I decided to share a little list of all my current favorite beauty products, since I usually get loads of question on instagram, tumblr and facebook about what I use. So here it is, easy peasy, everything about all of it in one place.
Skin products ♥

I use Makeup Forever Mat Primer to prime and perfect my skin. Then I either use a combo of Makeup Forever HD Foundation in 117 + Pro Finish Powder in 113 or a combo of Makeup Forever Mat Velvet Foundation in 20 and the pressed HD Powder. Favorite concealer is the Makeup Forever Full Cover concealer in shade 4. I always finish off with Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray that I love.

Brows ♥
My favorite brow product is the Makeup Forever Aqua Brow applied with the 274 brush. I use shade 15 all over the brow and add a little shade 25 towards the end. I also like to use the Urban Decay ”Buck” eyeshadow applied with an angled brush and finish off with Nars’ Brow Gel in Athens.
Contour, highlight & blush ♥

I’ve been loving the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette – especially the highlighter is amazing and I use it on my cheekbones, nose and cupid’s bow for that perfect glow. Also love the Illamasqua Nymph blush.

Eyes ♥
My absolute most favorite thing in the universe right now is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette that both smell and taste like chocolate (don’t ask, haha). I’ve been using it most days since I bought it and the gold shadow is the prettiest eyeshadow I have ever had. I’ve also been using the Urban Decay Naked2 palette a lot. For eyeliner the Makeup Forever Aqua Liner in 13 is what I love most and then either use Studio Sculpt Lash from MAC, Urban Decay Perversion Mascara or Smoky Lash from Makeup Forever. False lashes either  MUFE 14 or 15 ones.
Lips ♥
I love the Naked Lipgloss in Walk of Shame for everyday use, it makes my lips tingle and feel so soft so I reallyreally recommend it. Also love Makeup Forever Rouge Artiste Intense lipstick in number 23, 34 and 48 + the Makeup Forever Rouge Artiste Natural lipstick in 18N + MAC’s Saint Germain, as always.
Phew. That was a whole lotta info. Are you guys using any of these products yourself and is there any product you want to recommend for me to try out? Hope this post was helpful to you!

Pink October

Vintage hat – eBay faux fur coat – eBay shirt – Motel shorts – NLY boots – eBay sequin clutch

Went out shopping with Rebecca this monday in search for things we can use for two big upcoming parties, one of them being Coma Club. Fall has really hit now, so that calls for warmer clothes which means my collection of faux fur coats comes in great handy. These Motel shorts has become part of my work uniform, but even on days off I still seem to wear them all the time. So comfy.

Mama said there’ll be days like this

September 29, 2014
H&M hat – Nelly faux fur vest – Vintage jumpsuit – thrifted belt – thrifted bag – Nelly heels – Holy Malice sunnies
Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well! Earlier in September while visiting my grandmother in southern Jutland where I’m from we went to this unexpectedly amazing secondhand shop were I found so many treasures. Amongst these treasures were this jumpsuit that I assume is handmade and that is also one of my favorite secondhand finds of all time. The feel of it, from the clashing fabrics to the flowy legs, is perfect for fall. Paired with a big floppy hat, a belt and some kind of faux fur – it really is a perfect fall outfit for me. I’m going back to visit her again next week, so another trip to the secondhand shop has already been planned. The month of October is gonna be crazy busy for me, but hopefully I should be back with another outfit soon.
