Tribal makeup for work

July 18, 2014
Since regular blogging is on hold for now, I figured I might as well try to post some makeup looks for work. Today the Makeup Forever girls and I picked a tribal theme – you can see all of us on instagram hereand this is what I wore, besides a nude lipstick that I didn’t have at home. This was kinda put together last minute and I was running out of several products, but the final result reminded me a bit of the girls from Rasputina, so I’m not complaining.

Life update

July 10, 2014
My online life has been standing pretty still for a while, and there’s a very good reason for that. This year started out great until I ran into trouble. Boy trouble. You guys know how it is. Anyway, a few months ago I started wishing for great things to happen, and.. all of a sudden, great things actually did start to happen. It’s been going super fast the past few weeks though.
Yesterday I had my first day as a makeup artist for Makeup Forever in Illum, Copenhagen. Yep, guys, I got the job! Thank you for crossing your fingers for me. Everyone there is so sweet and I know it’s gonna be great working with them. Earlier today it was 29 degrees here and I was debating whether or not it would be socially acceptable to go sign the lease for my new apartment wearing only a bathing suit. Cause yep, I just got a brand new apartment, and I will be moving in early next week! Finally after almost two years of living in a suitcase at other people’s places I will have my own space again. I actually cried yesterday when I found out. And laughed. And then cried some more. Ughh, the relief. Not only that, my best friend Sofie that you guys know from my videos will be my neighbor and I will for the first time since November 2012 be able to have my gigantic collection of clothes and shoes in one place. It’s gonna feel like a whole new wardrobe cause it’s been so long since I saw all of it since it’s been in storage with all my furniture and most of my other things. Only worry now – where in the world am I gonna put all of it?!
Okay guys, that’s a little life update from me. I just got back from Roskilde Festival on sunday and now I have a cold. Great for hot summer days. Anyway, please excuse me for being absent a little longer – it’s gonna be a few more busy weeks, but then I think I will for the first time in so long be at a place in my life where I can finally be me. Better start packing now. Kisses until then.

New in | plastic sandals

June 23, 2014
Last week I received these white plastic sandals in the mail. I have been slightly obsessed with chunky shoes, especially in white, and since I needed a practical and causal pair for every day wear I decided to go with these juju jellies-looking ones from eBay. The kitchyness of them really appeals to me, but the crisp white color takes them away from that 90’s feel you got from wearing similar ones as a kid and make them look more modern. They have been super comfortable to walk around in, but I’m afraid they wont survive Roskilde Festival, so it’s a good thing they are more than affordable on eBay. I might just have to grab a pair in black too. And maybe pale pink.. with glitter.

Kimono love at Ark Clothing

June 23, 2014
Lately I’ve been completely obsessed with the idea of kimonos. Not the traditional Asian kimono, but the more modern day style that can be worn casual as everyday wear. I have been all over eBay and my usual favorite online stores to find the perfection selection but without any luck, until..
discovering Ark Clothing. They have the perfect selection of kimonos in all the different lenghts, shapes, fabrics and prints you could ever want and imagine. I’m not sure if it’s the festival season that just started here or my slight love for 90’s looking outfits lately that have me obsessed, but my god, I want all of them.

What I love most about kimonos is their way of being really versatile. They can add that perfect touch of grungy-ness to your outfit or be super girly worn with creams, pastels and flowers in your hair. What I especially love is that they allow you to wear very minimal clothes during those really hot summer days – heeey Roskilde Festival, I’ll see you in six days – but without feeling too exposed. They act as a sort of comfortable cover-up and at the same time make your outfit look cool. Bonus.
I’ve picked out my favorites for you guys and now I just need to decide which one I should get and bring with me to Roskilde. All the kimonos range from £15 to £45 so there is definitely something for everyone – you can go check out the entire selection over at Ark Clothing. Which one is your favorite? ♥

Job interview look

June 19, 2014

Sweet As Candy headband – vintage earrings – Asos dress
Oh my, it’s been so long since I did a look of the day. The shame. Anywaysies, today I went to an amazing job interview and it went so well. Do you know that feeling of being so happy and excited that you just wanna squeal even though you’re surrounded by people in the middle of public? That’s how I felt when I left. If I actually squealed or not will remain unknown, but I have such a great feeling about this. Next friday at 10 I will have to go to a makeup test with a model of my own choice, so cross your fingers for me guys, and hope it will be fabulous! This job is so perfect for me, so hopefully I will have good news shortly. Eeeep, the excitement.
