Don’t these photos just make you happy? I stumbled upon them a few days ago and felt so inspired by the 60’s vibe, big hats, long hair, funky prints and summer. People looked so healthy back then. These are photographs taken by Arthur Shatz for Life Magazine in 1969 – just beautiful.

Kind of tame stuff; sweet though. I was in high school in '69 and dressed much wilder, as did most of my friends. I guess we would have been called full-on hippies; though never used that term to describe ourselves at the time, we were "freaks" or "heads". Glad you appreciate the style though. It was a magical time.
